Parents are good friends of ours.

Of course, this depends on your financial situation.  I would say somewhere in the $35-$50 range, depending on your comfort level.  (am I cheap?  I might be)

I was thinking $40, but I didn't know if that was too little.  I did buy like $100 worth of baby stuff when he first came out of the wrapper.

Okay, like I said, I might be cheap.  But I think $40 is good, especially if you just bought a baby gift.  I never know what to spend on things.  I have 7 nieces and nephews, and I wish I could spend tons more money on them, but I just can't.  Then you throw in friends and coworkers' babies - wow, it's a lot of money!
