Re: My list... help me decide!!!
I love the name Haylee, but hate that spelling. The only spelling I like is Haley.
I also really like Sydney and Regan.
Hmmmm now that you guys mention it... that spelling isn't that great! See, this is why I need fresh eyes! haha
and yes, I have an "y" obsession. The 3 kids in my family are Jessi, Jenny, and Joey. My mom married a Jerry, and our dogs are Lucy, Eddy, and Sissy. I guess it's contagious!!!
Your first two names are similar to my name (Jaye Riley).
So I like those.
I also like Harmony (my cousins name, just be warned there's nothing appropriate that makes a good NN for that), Peyton, and Regan.
Kamryn Nikole Brindle - nickname: Cammie
why not spell it Cameron, then?
honestly- the over abundance of y's makrs me dislike most of they names. they look made up.

Ditto about the made-up thing..
I like Alexandra, Sydney (but like mn spelled Nicole), and maybe Regan.
The rest I don't like at all.
I like Alexandra, Sydney, Ashlyn, and Lauren (it's my name, I think you should spell it that way, but I am biased
(People pronounce my name?Lor-ren all the time anyway, and that seems to be what you were going for with the spelling.)
I think I like Alexandra the best. It's very classic, but I have never met anyone with that first name.?
Middle names: Renee and Nicole?
My middle name, as well as a good firend of mine's first name are spelled Renae. It is not wrong.
It is on this chart as a variation of Renee:

You're kidding me! It was popular when I was growing up and still is. My mom is a preschool teacher and every year she always has at least one Alexandra.?
I'm serious! lol. I know it's well known, but I've just never met anyone with it. My best friend's sister has that mn, but I can't remember meeting any with the first name. I 've heard Alexis more often. Maybe it's one of those regional things.?
I just checked the namemapper out of curiosity, and only got light pink, and several blank states. Mine was one of the blank ones, so it's not even in the top 100 here.?
The reason I chose different spellings (even though I do know of people who have their names spelled differently) if because with all of my friends, their children, family members, and their children... the names are all taken with "conventional" spellings. The Kamryn and nn Cammie was an accident, thanks for pointing that out.
I've always wanted my kid's name to stand out a little bit. DP and I aren't the typical "conventional" people so why should the spelling of our daughter's name be any different? I honestly HATE old fashioned names (like Penelope or Charlene) but people still use them, to each their own.
I appreciate the feedback though and will take it into consideration.
Ehh we have very different tastes in names. Penelope was our 2nd choice for this little girl. Plus, we only like traditional spellings. Made up spellings make you look like white-trash, IMO. So does an excess of "y's.
With that said, I like Piper and Sydney. They are spelled correctly and are cute names.
Frankly, they all sound "okay," to me. Nothing overly unpleasant. But they all hit my ear the same way, in a kind of generic bubbly pep-squad way. None of them really stand out from the pack as being anything other than a cute, somewhat anonymous 12yo girl's name.
And I find it a little odd that you would spell Kamryn so distinctively, and then use Cammie as a nn. Why not Kami or Kammie? If you want to use Cammie, why not Cameron/Cameryn/Camryn?
Hi!! I'm here!! LOL
Ok- these aren't SO bad. Kamryn is not great because of the K and Y. If you don't like Cameron, even Camryn would be better than Kamryn, IMO.
The only name I really don't like is Harmony. The spellings that bug me the most (other than Kamryn) are Jaidyn and Loryn.
I really love Taryn and it was on our girl list!
Liking or not liking these names is all a matter of personal style. You're not traditional or old fashioned- no problem with that at all. With some of them though, you're going to be judged because of the spelling more than the name itself. Does that mean you don't have a right to use them? Or that you shouldn't use a name you both love? Of course not! Just sayin'.
