Baby wipe solution help please!

I'm so new to this whole EFF thing and I am getting overwhelmed by all of the info out there!  I want to make my own cloth wipe solution - can you share how you make yours, please?  Also, is it better to pour the solution over the wipes and keep them in the warmer or to just have the spray bottle handy and wet the wipe before using?

Thank you so much!

I fill a peri bottle with tap water and then add a few drops of baby wash.

I keep the "wipes" (actually, baby washcloths reserved for this purpose) dry and squirt them with the peri bottle when it's time to wipe.

  • I do almost the same thing as DG1- I use a peri bottle, squirt a tiny bit of baby lotion in, fill with very hot tap water to dissolve the lotion and then put in a few drops of Dr. Bronners baby wash.  I just squirt the wipes when I'm doing the diaper change.  One full peri bottle usually lasts us about 5 days.

  • I use a mixture of water, soap & essential oil.  I have also added in some apple cider vinegar for extra antibac properties.

But I do know that there is a Nestie who is working on a wipe solution concentrate to sell on Etsy.   It will be a little bit before she's got it ready to rock and roll but I know I can't wait to buy some from her!

And hopefully this post will help kick her butt to get it listed.  Can you tell I'm excited for her?

  • Hippinski - what type of essential oils do you use?  Thanks!
  • I usually use some tea tree oil and lavender.  If she has any kind of redness or rash I'll use lavender and cedarwood together.

But if I were you I'd stay away from anything with cilantro. Wink

  • I keep an old baby wipes container filled with water and a couple drops of baby wash.  I have a stack of cloth wipes (baby washcloths) next to it.  I dunk one in when needed.  Super easy.

    LMAO!

  • Thanks for asking this (and for the replies), I have been thinking about this too and wondering so I'm going to look back at this post. ;)
