It's not the showing but the bloating that is causing things to fit and things are moving around and getting redistributed. It is totally normal.
Invest in a bella band for your regular jeans/pants for now ...most women don't show until 14-21 weeks and at different intervals. I was 18 weeks before I showed but started wearing full on maternity (b/c they were more comfy) at 16 weeks but it's obviously differnt for everyone.
It is totally common to not fit into things at 13 weeks though.
Normal. You may or may not be showing at 13 weeks but your clothes may not fit because a)your body can change quickly during pregnancy (hips spreading etc) and b)you could be bloated.
Maternity clothes may be more comfortable even if you don't *need" them. I wore them at 10 weeks with #1 but I wasn't really showing.
I popped at 14 weeks and this is my first. I was wearing maternity jeans by about 11 weeks thanks to the bloating. The bella band didn't work for me. I found some great stretchy skirts that were transitional as well so that helped.
I'm still able to wear a lot of my regular tshirts and I have found a bunch of non-maternity outfits at Banana Republic that fit my rather large bump now too.?
I'm just over 16 weeks and I'm definitely showing and my pants don't fit without a bella band. I would say I could button my pants until about a week ago. I can fit into all my shirts, but they have started to ride up.
I thought it was just bloat, but my doctor told me last week that I had indeed "popped" and I was actually showing. He told me it was probably because I'm really short. Just over 5', so I have nowhere to go but out.

this?exactly?i think i wore mat pants at 10-12 weeks because my regular were just getting uncomfy . there the best jump in a pair its like sweat pants
I haven't been able to button my pants since about 11-12 weeks. I have been wearing the bella band over unbuttoned regular pants and just this week started rockin the maternity pants. Some are too big for me still so I am doing a hybrid of b band and maternity.
I started wearing the BeBand at 10 weeks and switched over to maternity pants last week. There is no normal when it comes to weight gain, bloat, baby bumps, and clothes not fitting. You want to be comfortable and if that means wearing maternity clothes at 13 weeks so be it. So far I really like my secret fit pants from Motherhood maternity and I got some cute shorts at JCPenny. GL.
I am starting to show a little bit, but this is my 2nd and they say you show weeks sooner with your 2nd. With my DS, it took FOREVER for me to show. I wore regular clothes for more than half of my pregnancy. Now I can't wear any higher waisted jeans that I had but I can still wear the lower waisted jeans just fine, and regular shirts as well. Nothing too short, but I love long shirts anyway.
I buttoned my pants w/a rubberband (at 10 weeks) and bought a bella band (at 13 weeks) before I finally bought maternity clothes. ?People vary so much, there is no normal, just get what you need! ??
I think at 9-10 weeks I was out of my regular pants. I attribute most of that to the IVF hormones I just went ahead and bought maternity pants because I just wanted to be comfortable. I've realized everyone is different and you can't feel bad because you didn't go 20 weeks in regular clothes... there are so many different body types and effects of pregnancy. Also, I am petite (size 4P prepreg) and I am just growing straight out!

I couldn't button my pants around 10 weeks. I hated the bella band for more than a week- it just felt so constricting to have on pants that were unbuttoned etc. I am in full out maternity bottoms now. Most of my shirts still fit me okay (I don't really wear tight shirts, so my now-huge boobs still fit in!). I think the past 2 weeks I have started to show- not just bloat anymore!
I was showing (yes, showing, not bloat) at 11 weeks with my first pregnancy. ?So don't let anyone dismiss it as bloat. ?It might be, but then again it might not.
Some people wait to buy maternity clothes until further into the second tri, but I don't understand why. ?The majority of us need a smaller size toward the beginning and a larger size at the end, so you might as well buy some things you're comfortable in now. ?During my last pregnancy, I wore the clothes I bought in my first tri until I was in my third tri. ?Stretchy skirts are a good buy because there's a good chance they will fit for your entire pregnancy.
I also don't believe their is a "normal" time to start showing, so I am of the philosophy that it is much better to be comfortable than self-conscious about wearing maternity gear too "early." I was in the bella band by 7 weeks! Past 12 weeks, it was really just embarassing b/c my hips were wider and I gained weight in my thighs and butt - the bella band was no good at disguising the tightness of these areas of my jeans. Maternity jeans were a must by then. I am now in only maternity work pants and jeans (aside from a few pants I bought in a much larger than normal size). Do whatever you are comfortable with and GL!
well your lucky I was showing and couldn't fit into my clothes at about a month to a month in a half. I gets worse. I bought new bras about a month ago and now they dont even fit. My advice when your buying maternity clothes always buy bigger than what you are. Buy them loose. Sweat pants, jogging pants, those kind, work great.
Do what you feel is best...if maternity clothes feel better, then wear them!! I can still wear some of my pants, but I bought a pair of ON maternity jeans and a two pairs of work capris at 14 weeks...they are wonderful. I feel so much better. It's worth it...besides, comfort is what's important. Go buy some!!!!

Everyone is different. Some show early, some show late. If your doctor is happy then so should you be.
Bloat is probably contributing to your clothes feeling uncomfortable. Get a belly band and some maternity pants to help you through this stage.
