Does anyone have any suggestions for finger foods for a kiddo with no teeth yet?
Robbie won't eat much of anything, but he will chew on things that he can hold in his hands.
Right now, we're doing pretty well with Gerber Wagon Wheels. he'sll gnaw on about half of one and even occasionally swallow a little gummed up part.
I don't really care about nutrition/calories at this point. Just something that won't choke him that he can practice chewing on.
Re: Finger foods?
I gave DS MumMums, Gerber Lil' Crunchies & teething biscuits (which are extremely messy). These were all things he could hold onto & gnaw on. Gerber Puffs are also really easy to "eat", but you can't really hold onto them b/c they are Cheerio sized.
I bought the store brand whole wheat puffs (unsweetened) and my girls still love them (only $1 bag - shaws brand). Have you seen the mesh teethers? I have that and put frozen blueberries in it (slightly thawed), and they love that, though it does make a blue mess. You could put peaches or anything else cold (or warm) in there as well. I have the "safe baby teether" version. www.babysafefeeder.com/ but you can also buy the nuby brand at BRU (they carry both)

We tried the ritz crackers.. He gagged and choked on those. I think they crumble up too much rather than mushing up..
I'm going to have to find some teething biscuits, I think.
I tried to dip his wagon wheel into baby food yesterday and he didn't appreciate that. I'm really hoping that as we get into more table food territory that things improve.
