I love him soo much! I've seen him 2 years in a row and I hope someone wants to go see him again this year!! He can write the funniest songs and then turn around and write the most sentimental beautiful ones! He has my heart! Don't tell DH though

I haven't listened to a whole lot of non-christian music in the last year, but I'm really tempted to get his new alblum! He has such a talent for singing and songwriting. It's amazing that he can write great love/sappy songs and then hilarious ones like I'm Gonna Miss Her and Alcohol.

I'm not sure if I can handle a cryer song tonight... but the one that I danced to with my dad for our wedding was "I Loved Her First" by Heartland.
I will have to revisit this thread when I'm a little less already on the brink of tears, because I love country.
My Dad and I danced to Daddy's Little Girl cause he insisted...but I Loved Her First gets me every time. The only song that really makes me bawl is Don't Take the Girl. A lot of songs make me cry...that ones just kills me!!

I think I desensitized myself to Don't Take the Girl when I played it a lot in college... but yeah, I played I Loved Her First for a couple of my bridesmaids when I picked it out, and I had to pass the kleenex box around the room.
My dad and I danced to this song, too! He picked it out, and I bawled my eyes out when I first heard it.
I think you're right about revisiting later. I made the mistake of clicking on the Didn't Have To Be link from melinz, and promptly started bawling my eyes out. Not because of my dad, but b/c of my stepmom. I couldn't finish listening to the song, I don't think I can handle that right now. Maybe in a few months.
