Multiples

Well, its official. No more sharing a crib or room.

After putting them back in the same crib for the week my family was here, this past week they've been in seperate rooms again, and there's no contest. They both sleep MUCH better apart. I think they just wake each other up too much.

Sigh. I need a bigger house.

  • I am so worried that this day is coming as well.  Kate is soooo super noisy.  We have the room but we like them in the same room for convenience and that they have one another.
  • :( I'm worried we might have to do this, too--separate cribs, at least. But first we have to find a place to store the guest bed that is currently taking up 2/3 of the tiny nursery! (We have a 2-bdrm house and won't be able to afford to move unless/until DH gets a substantial raise.

  • We have had them in separate cribs all along, but I think we may need to do the separate room thing  also.  We have a 3 bedroom house, but one is ours, one the nursery, and the other the office/guest room.  Andrew is a very loud crier and wakes Cole up most of the time.
  • We just put them in separate cribs 3 days ago. Crazy I know! They never seemed to bother each other so we just kept it that way. But Bailey realized that she can sit up in the crib now and they both are all over the place so it was time. The second day they were playing with each other through the slats (Logan was still trying to steal Bailey's bear) and laughing hysterically at each other. Needless to say I was more sad about it than they were.
  • We separated ours about 6-8 weeks ago and they sleep SO MUCH better in different rooms. It stinks because we have one in our room, but if they sleep through the night, then so be it.
  • I put my twins in seperate rooms at 3 months because my son was an awful sleeper and literally screamed all night.  They slept beautifully apart.  Now I am trying to get them back in the same room (9 months) and it seriously sucks.  Their naps are awful again and they wake each other up.  It is driving me crazy and I am so tempted to move them apart again.

Exactly. We keep trying to put them back in the same room and it just doesn't work..Henry wakes up a lot and he wakes his sister up. But apart, she sleeps 11-12 hours and he sleeps at least 10. I guess it means no more guest room for awhile.
