Trying to Get Pregnant

Golly Gee... I wanna POAS.. especially when...

You have a very VIVID dream that you took a pregnancy test, and you see a VERY CLEAR   +    sign,   and experience the happiness, sharing it with your husband, crying tears of joy, and feeling like a whole new person (a mom) in your dream.... those feeling stick with you... after you wake up!

Then,, no question about it... you just HAVE to POAS... and then you see a negative...

ERGH!  Is it ever gonna happen for us????

Re: Golly Gee... I wanna POAS.. especially when...

  • That sounds like the dream I had a while back only I didn't POAS.  I wrote about it in my blog.  It was this magical HPT that would tell you everything you could imagine about your pregnancy if you tested positive.  It was weird.  Hang in there!

  • At least when that happens before like 14 DPO, you know that there's still hope of a BFP. I had 3 BFNs before my BFP this cycle.
  • Not to get your hopes up but I had several super vivid dreams in the 2 weeks before I got by BFP...every morning I had one I was like that dream was so real...I've never had such realistic dreams before...good luck!

I remember when you posted about that magical test. :) That one that even told you the sex of the baby. You need to work on inventing that!

  •  I haven't had dreams, but I've had weird cravings and taste aversions this week.  I didn't really think anything of it until DH brought it up. But then I started spotting and cramping this morning.  So I think AF is probably on the way.  But I haven't started temping yet, so it's just a guessing game this month.  DH has been trying to get me to POAS for the past few days.  It's so frustrating!

Good luck to you.  I hope you get a BFP soon!

  • I know!  This whole week I haven't felt myself.

Diarrhea (although I've heard constipation is usually more common), stuffy nose with bloody mucus, mild cramping, slight nausea, and a few times I had a feeling of the 'shakes' ...   but would I really be having these symptoms with no positive test?  I'll wait another day or two to test.

  • Those dreams can cause confusion, but as long as my grandmother isn't calling me to tell me she is dreaming about fish...two fish...we are ok.  That is what she dreamed shortly before my Aunt found out she was pregnant with her twin girls.  Though I would have been over the moon with twins my first pregnancy, the thought of twins kind of scares me now.  Twins are on the mind because it has been a reoccurring dream since the beginning of this cycle.

I hope you get your BFP soon! Wink

thats funny you talk about twins... Twins run in my family (moms side) and it is my turn (it is believed that it skips every other generation)... I've always thought I would have twins!  Not sure how I couldn't handle it though!

  • Am I reading your siggy correctly? You're ovulating now? I'd say it's safe to assume you're not pregnant. ;)

Oh yeah... I forgot to mention, that my siggy is NOT correct!!! I need to change that.

  • Same here, my grandmother is a twin.  Between DH's family and my family we have around seven sets of twins.

yes you can absolutely have those "signs" without a positive test, they're called phantom sympotms. there are no such things as pregnancy symptoms until you're actualy pg, sorry to be so blunt, but I know it's hard to get your hopes up so high and just have them dashed when your period shows up. I've been at this for over a year, I know all about high hopes and having them crushed, it's better to be realistic about it.

Thanks!  I know... I've learned not to have high hopes.  I'm just taking one day at a time.... It's just wierd having these things happen to my body and can't figure out why..

every cycle I get a different "symptom" it seems and I think "oh, could this be it?" ha, nope, no such luck. I chalk them up to hormones.

    Good luck!
