Has anyone ever been to The Melting Pot?

Good?  Bad?  Worth the 3 hour experience?

We are thinking of going there tomorrow for dinner with some friends, but want to make sure that it won't be a big waste of time.

TIA!

  • The dessert is awesome, but other then that I didn't really care for it.

  • I love The Melting Pot especially if you will be there with another couple or a group. The food is not over the top fantastic, but it's more one of those places that you go for the experience.

  • I love it.  It is a long dinner, but I thought totally worth it.  the food was great and different.
  • people seem to love it. I am not a fan. I'd rather try local cuisine. I feel like the fondue 'dips' are from a bag -- just add oil. Their top shelf liquor prices will get you -- careful!
  • I love fondue, but Melting Pot isn't at the top of my list. . . I've been to better fondue places.  I really like doing fondue at home.

  • Everyone else I know raves about it, but we've only been once and weren't that impressed. ?It's probably just because we had terrible service that night, though. ?The food was pretty good-- just expensive if I remember correctly. ?I keep thinking we'll give it another shot. ?I'm sure you'll have a good time with your friends.

I LOVE that place!  One of my favorites. It's kind of a fun experience and I think everyone should try it at least once.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto - AWESOME place.

  • love it, we go there every anniversary.
  • I think it's worth trying for the experience, but I wouldn't go again.  Too expensive for the food you get IMO.  The dessert was the best and the chocolate martini's!  My problem was I was STARVING and you only get to eat a few bites at a time.  It took me forever to feel satisfied.

  • We went a couple months ago for work as our Christmas gift. It was a lot of fun, but I love doing fondue. However I don't know if I'd go back, maybe w/ a group of friends.
