Newbie chart ? - FF and sleeping in

I missed the dumb newbie question session earlier. I hope nobody is too annoyed by another one.

So, I love to sleep in and I figure I will until I actually have a child. However, with temping, my temp is either pretty high or pretty low if I do sleep in.

Now, FF is chiding me. The analysis says I should consider taking my temperature at the same time every day. ("Hey open circle girl, your weekend temps are clearly wrong. Get it together!)

Oh by the way, if you check my chart to see my horrendous open circles, I also have an insanely high bbt. (You think your DH complains about sleeping next to a furnace!)

Did anybody else have problems with this or is my chart wacko?

Re: Newbie chart ? - FF and sleeping in

  • You should try to take your temp everyday at the same time. I work at 5:30am and get up at 4:30am only 3 days a week. But I still set my alarm for 4:30 on my days off so I can take my temp at the same time. If I want to go back to sleep then I do.

When I did sleep in and take my temp later, then yes my temps were all out of wack. I also love sleeping when it is freezing cold so that might have something to do with my crazy temps to.

  • Hi there!  Your chart does look kinda wacko, but I've seen worse.  My first chart, to be precise. Wink

I love sleeping in on the weekends, too.  I've just had to set two alarms for the weekend, and temp at my normal time and then pass back out until later.  It's taken me a few months to be disciplined enough, but so far this cycle my open circles are sleep deprivation.  ::crosses fingers::

  • I know it's hard, especially on the weekends, but you really should try to take it at the same time every day. Some people have drastically different temperatures throughout the day.

  • I set an alarm and then went back to sleep after temping. ?After a couple of cycles of charting, though, when I felt like I knew my cycle fairly well, I'd just take weekends off temping altogether, unless it was close to O time.

    Good luck!?

  • My temp time is 5:30am and I go back to sleep. My normal wake up time is 9:30am. On weekends I sleep no later then 10am.?
