RSVP question

My sister's bridal shower is June 13th.  When should I make the RSVP date?  Usually how many days before the event do you make the RSVP?  Family is making the food.

I usually have the date a week before if I prepare the food

When I threw a bridal shower I believe I did it between 1 and 2 weeks before the shower.

i usually do 2 weeks before. that way people have time to cancel. You also have extra time to call people that didn't rsvp.?

For a shower I would say a week is enough time.  My mom didnt even put an RSVP date on my baby shower invites!
