I know this has been the debate lately. I have a bit of a different view. I have to say, every now and again I'll see a BFP post from a semi-reg and it is clear they are getting the heck out of here and never coming back. Or, I'll see someone on one of the tri boards that used to be a GP-er, posted their BFP, and never came back again.

THAT, I think, is super crappy. When I see that, I feel like we've been used. (Not like I'm crying over it but YKWIM) As if they only needed/liked us because we could commiserate or advise on their chart. I want to fling poo in their general direction.

I try to spilt my time evenly with GP and 1st tri.  Sometimes it is just slow on 1st tri and always the same questions...lunch meat, are you finding out gender, I want to tell people I'm pregnant....

I agree, however, some of the semi-regulars who have received BFPs have also been snarked to death here. Deserving or not, it can make people leave.

I still post here!  In fact, I prefer to most of the time.  1st Tri gets repetitious and GP is my home base.  Sometimes I fall asleep mid-day, though! lol

Me too.  When that whole thing blew up...that was the day I had my first ultrasound!  I really wanted to post it on here but didn't want to add fuel to the flames.  So I just quietly added it to my siggy and went on with the day.  Kinda sad though.

Well, you have to realize that many of these women are still TTC and many are having a hard time. It sucks to see 23490890380 ultrasounds pics every day. If you wanted to show it, you could have, just expect to not to hear a million congratulations...especially if people don't recognize you.

I have to say I feel like GP is my home. I've been on here since it was created and I like it much more than the tri-boards. They can be interesting and helpful if I have a specific question, but there's so many people, repetitive topics, etc. GP feels much more like a community and support system to me. Just my two cents...

I highly doubt anyone is snarked from saying "hey".  I haven't seen that happen yet. I agree the snarking gets out of control at times, but I think most regs know what leads to snarks. (Sorry for the overuse of the word "snark", it just sounds so fun).

This post seems random to me. I think there is a fine line. When TTC girls are asking our (PG girls) advice I am more then willing to give it out. But I think that posting pg related stuff on here is not appropriate and would be more suitable for a tri board. A PM or even a blog would take care of telling your GP girls all the pg related topics instead of throwing it out on the whole entire board. I am not leaving don't get me wrong! But there is a time/place for everything. Ok I am done!
