HSG ?

I have my HSG scheduled for Monday. I know everyone is different, but what were your experiences? Do you think with some IB Profen I can go back to work afterwards?

3 rounds of Clomid = Fail

1 round of injectables + IUI converted to IVF = cancelled

1 year break to ease my mind and body = KU!

    My suggestions are:  Ibuprofen (800 mg) before and bring a pad for leakage.

     I had 10 minutes of moderate period cramps after but by the time I drove home, I was fine so I could have went back to work.

    I'm always almost afraid to answer these questions because my HSG sucked, and I don't want to scare anyone.  It's in my blog under January or February I believe.  Definitely take the ibuprofen, or something stronger.  For many women it is just uncomfortable, for some it's really painful.  My best advice is just relax and take the ibuprophen and have your H go with you if you're nervous.  GL!

    I second the 800mg of Ibuprofen an hour before.

    I had cramping for the rest of the day and had taken it off. I could have worked, but it was nice to just relax afterward.

    I just had mine on Wednesday.  I was really nervous, but honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I did take 3 ibuprofren (200 mg. each) about an hour or so before.  Maybe that helped I don't know.  When I saw the dye going in my uterus is when the cramping started, but it wasn't too too bad, and lasted maybe 10 to 15 minutes.  They gave me the pad to wear home but I haven't had any leaking or spotting.  I am a 1st grade teacher and if the school day hadn't been over already, I think I would've been able to go back to work.  GL to you!  :)
