I hear everyone talk about being in suspense and waiting until 12, 13, 14dpo, etc. to test and still being in the dark at that point about whether AF is coming or not...
I start spotting usually at around 8-10dpo so that's usually my head's up that she's coming and I don't even bother testing. Anyone else in this boat? It's totally anti-clamatic. I've never tested thinking I might actually be KU b/c I'm always spotting before I'm enough dpo to test.

Re: If You're A Spotter, WDYT About Testing?
I rode in that boat for a while! This past cycle was the cycle I got my BFP. I started spotting around 6DPO and by 9DPO it was so heavy, I thought my period had started. I even started a new chart with CD1. That was on a Friday, so I drank a good amount over the weekend because I thought it was over. Monday and Tuesday, I noticed my spotting stopped, so I took a test (only about my 4th one in 8 cycles) and I am still in shock it was positive.
Like you, I always assumed I was out once the spotting started, so testing was pointless to me. If they can't find a reason for your spotting, it only happens after you O, and it isn't bright red, I wouldn't count yourself out every cycle. Good luck!
