I've been noticing this a lot too, most especially for second time moms.
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45
Its not just fertility drugs. Older women are more likely to pop a couple of eggs at a time (trying to catch the bus before it stops running I guess) and apparently African American women are also more likely to have twins spontaneously.
And of course popping more eggs runs in families too.
um. yes, MMML, I did actually know all that. Please note the smiley face after my post. For future reference, that means it's a joke.
Many people do NOT know "all that" --- and your comment seemed to suggest you did not either. It's a very touchy subject with mom's of multiples to constantly be asked if they did IVF or took fertility drugs.
it's really annoying that people either assume you did, or that they feel it's OK to ask such a personal question... We don't go around asking people about their vaginas... nor do we assume people are all on anti-psychotic meds just b/c they are crazy enough to ask such a personal question.
so I thank you MMML for pointing out those facts. I was going to reply with the same info if nobody else had.
the smiley face after your comment was far from obvious that you knew all of that info.... and could be taken in many other ways - offending many people as well.
I personally am an open book that I took clomid and that is why I have twins, so the whole thing doesn't offend me- but many women are not so open about it... and those who conceive twins spontaneously (which is much better to say than 'naturally') can get really annoyed when people assume they took drugs/did IVF.
seriously, goldie locks?! ?There are people out there who DON'T know that twins existed and happened BEFORE clomid?! ?People who believe that only fertility drugs result in multiples?! ? If there are, then they are morons and anyone who would be bothered by their ignorance is too, IMO. ?
Re: What is up with all of the twins lately?

I know, it's crazy!
OK, here it comes! -------------->
(Those are babies! lol)
DH regularly comments on how fertile I am. I keep reminding him that I was never fertile at all until I married him!!
