potty training through night

DS is 3.5 and still wears pull ups at night.  He has been potty trained since before 2.5 but he just doesn't stay dry and to be honest I hadn't pushed the idea of underwear at night.  If he is not staying dry all night do I bother just yet?  Also he comes in our bed in the middle of the night and the idea of him peeing in our bed is not appealing.  Yes I could suck it up etc but wondering where others are with their kids at this point?

I would wait until he wakes dry. Its more about physical capability than "training" so you couldn't do much anyway.

DD#1 was almost exactly the same- PT'd by 2.5 and still having wet pull ups every night at 3.5.  (btw, I used pull ups at night so IF she were to get up & pee, she could pull them down).  I had asked the pedi & she said they really didn't start to worry about night wetting until kids were like 10 or something like that.  Since DH & I both peed the bed *forever* when we were kids, I wasn't even going to deal w/it until much later.  Then DH had an amazing idea that just worked for her.  He asked if she wanted to have her little potty in her room to go at night time.  She thought that sounded super cool & just like that- my kid who had never had a dry night was waking herself up at night & going pee by herself.  Not even getting us up!  We just left a thing of Kandoo's by her potty & she took care of it.  For whatever reason, that crazy idea of his worked for her!
