possible to get rain check from Toys R Us?

for item on sale but out of stock? website doesn't say no rain checks, and website says in stock, but it's not in stock in the store and is really expensive to have to ship. is the store required to give a rain check? or what is my best way to get one from them? sale ends Saturday, its out of my way to drive there to see if their wall display specifically says no rain check but if online doesn't state that does the store have to go by that?

Did you try calling the store about a raincheck or asking them to call around to see if another store has it and can have it shipped to your local store?

I have asked twice and was told no rainchecks on sale items.

I always thought that was the point of a rain check...

dh refuses to ask to have it shipped to our local store he doesn't think they'll do it because it'd cost the company money to do so. I have a hard time with confrontation without getting upset.
