Hi ladies, I haven't posted as much b/c I've been very busy of work.
A friend of mine has a son born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has the second of his three surgeries, the Glenn, in May. He'll need one more surgery but I think that's in a couple years.
A mutual friend (she's closer w/the mom than I am, but said she was asking me b/c I was also a mom) asked me what gifts she should buy for him (he's 5 months now).
Aside from books and toys, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I think any gift would be welcome by his parents.
Any other ideas? TIA!
Re: Gifts for baby after surgery
Someone gave us a little stuffed sheep that we put in DS's isolette to keep watch over him. Something like that might be nice.
If they want to give something to the parents, a nice thing would be to order some meals for them so they don't have to worry about making dinner. A friend ordered us a few meals from HomeBistro.com. They came frozen and were easy to cook - just put the plastic pouch in boiling water. The food was really delicious.
