more questions-do you wake baby up from nap?

She has been sleeping 3 hours....I think Im going to make some racket and see what happens...

Re: more questions-do you wake baby up from nap?

  • NEVER!! Sleep begets sleep. The more & better she sleeps now, the better it'll be later & so on.?

She'll wake up when she's hungry, needs love, a change, etc. They sleep because they need it. Enjoy the downtime.?

  • Nope! Let her sleep! Enjoy the downtime!
  • Another vote for let her sleep! At this age, they need the sleep, let her have it.
  • No way I tip-toe around when they are napping.
  • always let him sleep as long as possible!  if we have to go somewhere thats one thing (and i hate to do it) but other than that i do nothing that might wake him up!  sometimes it gets little ridiculous the lengths i ll go to but it is so worth it.  (although i have been known to go make sure hes still breathing when he gets to sleeping that long, it makes me nervous something is wrgon!)
  • Never ever ever. ?Let a sleeping baby sleep!

  • I let him sleep.  I make a racket all day long (vacuum, put away pots and pans, etc) and he sleeps right through it!
  • No way! If she's asleep I let her! Sometimes I worry that it is too much but I know newborns need a lot of sleep.
  • I've been waking Jack to get his days and nights back in order. I also don't let him sleep longer than 3 hours. I've read that you will be in for middle-of-the-night cluster feedings if you let them sleep too long.

Glad to know others are letting them sleep.
