Throwing up yesterday, can he go to school today?

My 2 yr old was sent home from school yesterday afternoon because he threw up twice. Then he threw up when we got there again. No fever or any other sickness symptoms. We really think it was just something he ate. He is totally fine today, do you think I can bring him to daycare? Or will they think I'm crazy and not let him in because he was just puking yesterday afternoon?

Thanks

  • I say no you should wait until 24 hours after the last episode.

I agree. Most daycare have a 24 hour symprom-free rule

  • I wouldn't bring him in. Plus most school have a policy where the child cannot return until they have been fever/vomit free for 24 hours.
  • I wouldn't bring him.  Would you go to work the next day if you were puking the night before?

I know how you feel though.  DS threw up twice yesterday after daycare.  He woke up at 12:30 with a fever of 102.  Went back to sleep at 2:30 and woke up at 6:30 like the freaking energizer bunny.  DH thought we should take him but I didn't think it was a good idea.  Besides if it is some viral infection they could still be contagious.
