Cost to deliver in Boston

I am having my baby at Brigham and Womens- does anyone know a rough estimate on how much a normal birth would cost?  I have app in two weeks and can ask....but I am curious

My insurance was billed $10,000 for my vaginal, un-medicated L&D including 2 days stay for me.  I had an epidural w/ my first and I believe it was close to $2,000.

Baby charges were seperate.

 

I gave birth at MGH, which I assume would be similar to the Brigham.

I think it depends on your insurance?

My coworker gave birth at BWH and didn't have to pay for anything.

Thanks.  I thought my insurance was not affliated with b&w but was going to deliver there anyway and pay..  But just found out I can go there and they pay!!!1

I had my son at B&W last April, the total was about $17,000 (vaginal birth with epidural) and a separate bill for my son $2,000.  I have Cigna insurance and paid $300 co-pay.
