Did any of you have a failed induction? If so, what was the outcome?
I ask because I went in on Monday for an induction and it didn't work. I have a scheduled c-section for Friday, but I'm just not sure if this is smart to go through or try to wait it out. I was due April 19th.
Re: Failed Induction??
I don't know if it counts as failed. I was induced first with a dose of Cervadil that didn't soften the cervix enough, so they followed it up with 2 doses of Cytodex (?). I had contractions for 36 hours, but I never dilated past 4 cm. Eventually, I had to have an emergency c-section because of fetal distress.
But my baby is healthy and happy, and the c/s wasn't as bad as I was afraid of.
This is what happened to me. Cervadil didn't do anything. I was still closed by morning. 2 doses of Cytodex and I managed to get 1 cm. He sent me home to wait it out for a few days. I go in tomorrow to see the OB, but I've also had contractions at home on and off all day.

i had the cervadil/pit going for more than 24 hrs before we had made any real progress. then came the puching and found that ds's head was up too far so he couldnt get through the canal, and ended up with c/s. now i think if i had known i would have just scheduled a c/s instead
i also dont think the c/s was as bad as i thought, my dr was talking to me the whole time and i didnt even know that they had started cutting and we were already 1/2 way through! then i thought she should stop chatting and pay attention to my belly!!
