I am going to attempt to make my own coffee tomorrow

I posted earlier about the amount of money I spend on lattes everyday. So I went to the store to buy some half and half and I am going to make my own tomorrow.

I really am a bad coffee maker - it never tastes good. When we have people over, I have my DH or my mom do it because mine is just bad.

Get an espresso machine with a steam wand.  There has to be something like that in your husband's collection...

practice makes perfect.  I use 1/8 of a cup of coffee for each 2 cups of water...the 2 on the coffee pot not actual cups.  This measurement works for us.  Also try different brands of coffee too.  I also use bottle water when making my coffee since our well water sucks.

I'm with you. ?I got a Keurig for Xmas, and it's been great! ?I made the switch, though, from lattes to regular drip, and it saved a ton!

Good for you!  That's a lot money you spend elsewhere or save.

It took me years to make good coffee.  Though I never drank it, so that was my issue.  I do now.  Too much.  But I digress.

We do have one - I'll get the directions out of the box and break that baby in. DH bought it a year and a half ago.

Get it out because if lattes is what you have at B... then steaming milk at home with espresso is what you're going to want.  I can drink plain black coffee and sometimes I actually want that but 98% of the time I make my faux Starbucks every morning.
