M was ignoring DH. DH goes and gets him and says "When Daddy says to come, you need to come. There may be situations where you are in danger, and you need to listen to Daddy."

Know what he hears? "Wha wha blah blah blah Daddy."

I don't think he 'gets' 2 year olds yet. :-)

LOL! My DH does the same thing, and I try to tell him that you need to give the kid reasons they understand. Like the ever popular, "Because I said so."

I'm pretty sure that's how I sound to my students right now.  Today the principal was standing next to me when I was talking with my kids.  I told them something and they just didn't do it,  then he tried and same thing.  He looked at me like "WTF, why aren't they listening?"  I just laughed and said "Charlie Brown"
