I was told to dress comfortable. My idea of comfortable is my kitty-print jammies and my snuggie, but I'm pretty sure that's not what they had in mind. So just out of curiosity, what did/are you going to wear to your birthing class?
mine is a series of shorter classes - once i've worn yoga pants and a t-shirt, once i wore jeans, last night i had to wear my work clothes (dress pants and blouse). i was fairly comfortable in them all.
some had work clothes, some had pjs on. it varied. wear whatever is comfortable. we had one husband who wore the same sweats each class and took a poo in the ONLY restroom during each break. if he got to be comfortable, you get to be comfortable.
I wore my loose pair of jeans and a t-shirt and was fine. But LOTS of women were wearing sweats/yoga pants. I wouldn't come in full-on pjs, but anything I'd run to the store in. Ditto to pp that you should not wear a dress or skirt.
BTW, I also got the tip to bring a pillow and/or blanket and snacks/water. I felt a little foolish arriving with that stuff - but then I realized that most people had also done the same and that I really needed the extra comfort and munchies.

A girl in my class was wearing a tight top, short skirt, and knee length stripper boots. It was hilarious watching her try to sit on the birthing ball. Everybody else wore jeans or yoga pants and a comfy top.
Re: What did you wear to birthing class?
The first day I wore a dress - DON'T - because you may do relaxation exercises on the floor.
The second day I work a pair of capris.
Same.
