did you still get engorged with your 2nd child? i sort of assumed that the whole BF thing would go the same as with my first, but a coworker (60 yo woman) told me the other day that you don't get engorged or even big with your second. is she just remembering wrong and/or crazy, or is this true? i'm especially wondering about if your boobs don't get as big in terms of what size nursing tank i'll need...

Yes. I was just as engorged (if not more) than with #1. Mine got just as big the second time around.

Engorgement and let-down were definitely at lot less noticeable/uncomfortable than they were with #1.  The only time I was ever really uncomfortable was the first time I left DS overnight with my mom and didn't have access to my pump.

ETA: I used the same nursing bras from when I nursed DD

I didn't get as engorged, and I almost never leaked with #2.

I was more engorged, had a stronger let-down & had more supply with #2.

I got engorged with #2 but he also didn't have a sucking reflex so we were struggling with nursing the first few days. I had no engorgement with my 3rd and 4th, although I am a big leaker (I still leak and my daughter is almost 20 months).

Oh yes, I get just as engorged now as I did when DS was an infant.  I'm not sure why you wouldn't or why she would think that.

I didn't get engorged either time.

Boobs were big due to pregnancy but didn't get bigger afterwards.  They did shrink dramatically (more so than with #1) after I stopped BFing though.

I was the same with both, although we had a few more problems starting out with #2, so I had more pain and a little more engorgement. But once we had our latch figured out, all was fine and same as DC#1.
