Saw 2 interesting names on the way home

I saw the names Treven and Chaston on the back of some lady's SUV on my way home.  How do you even pronounce Chaston?  Is it like Chase-ton or Chaz-ton? 

Never heard of these before.

My thoughts exactly.  My first thought was a family trying to give their kids "preppy" names, if that makes sense!

I've actually heard Treven on more than occassion. While I don't like it, it's no longer weird to me.

Chaston on the other hand. Really. Bad. Bad. Bad. Cute puppy name though...lol.

both horrible. i think it's chass-ton. i once saw "johnagan" on the back of a minivan.

I had a friend named Treven, so I don't find it too weird, I have known several Treven's. I wouldn't personally use it but I dont find it horrible.

Eeek.  Those are pretty bad.  For some reason I'm more tolerant of made up girls names rather than made up boy names.  I think it's harder for boys to pull off strange/uncommon names growing up.  And these are pretty strange!

I'm assuming she means on back window stickers, like they have for sports teams and stuff. I see people's kids names on the back of SUVs and vans for ballet or soccer or baseball all the time. It's popular here.

The funny thing is, DH and I have noticed people that have those stickers tend have kids with really really odd names.?

hmm, maybe this is a regional thing (I'm in the south). it's like, if the kid is on a little league team, it's a baseball bat with his name on it, and probably the team, too.

To answer some of the pp, these were sports stickers.  I think they were both football helmets or footballs.  Those things are everywhere around here (Cincinnati/Northern KY).  Cheerleading, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, etc.  It kind of gets obnoxious when someone has 4+ kids!  They can't see out of the back of their vehicles b/c these stickers are huge!
