I have been using the banana boat baby sunscreen because it is a no tears formula and a high SPF....but I noticed that when I use it on N she gets some little bumps on her nose and a couple other areas...I figure it must be irritating her skin...so I'm on the hunt for a different sunscreen.
She's squirmy so I'd like something that goes on easy and I really liked the idea of the no tears formula...any suggestions?
Re: Sunscreen for babies, what do you use?
I've been using Aveeno since it was the only baby sunscreen I could find in my entire town. (Which is so big, you know).
I wanted California Baby but I'll have to get to Target to get that. Sabrina's skin is really sensitive and I know CB doesn't irritate it. But, so far the Aveeno has been just fine. I don't think it's no tears, though.
We use Neutrogena - so far so good:

I can't think of the name but it's a paraben-free sunblock. No tears and doesn't irritate E's sensitive skin. However, it makes her look totally greasy so I might try the CB stick when we run out of this stuff.
I was just researching in the SkinDeep database... https://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse.php?category=baby%20sunscreen
So far we haven't tried anything. I bought some Aveeno, because that's what I use and out of all my choices at my local store, it seemed the most harmless. I ended us chickening out and not using it on her, we just really stayed in the shade, with a hat on.
I want to try California Baby, and there was recently talk of UVNatural in another forum I belong to... it contains "coated micronized
zinc oxide. I do not recommend titanium dioxide. Their products are not greasy and they are waterproof. Usually available at Whole Foods. Try to get the ones without lavender."
