Gift for adoption party?

Hi ladies!  I am going to an adoption party and wanted to bring a small gift.  The baby has been a part of the family for a few months now and I went to the baby shower a few months ago (brought registry gifts), this party is to celebrate the adoption finally being complete.   So, I was thinking maybe a sweet book about adoption or something along those lines ... Would that be appropriate?  Any suggestions?  Thank you!!

I always advocate bringing a baby book as a gift because it is something that the family can enjoy together for years to come.  (although, I would never turn down jewelry)

Could you possibly go to an engraver in the area and have something engraved with the baby's name on it?  Like a bottle, or a plate, or a photo album that has a silver front to it, etc. Those are always nice gifts too.
