"personally I did feel baby's hb on my belly (and internally - heard it in my head very early on - 8 wks?...) and still do occasionally.  It has a faster rhythm than your own beat.  You can usually tell your own beat by checking your wrist or jugular in your neck. My baby's hb is the same tempo as Feist's "1234" song... and he grooves to it when its on the radio too."

I was the only person who responded, and I'm not even supposed to be over here. Last time I checked, hearing something like a h/b in your head is called psychosis...

I swear that I can sometimes feel MY heartbeat in my stomach but not the baby's. I can barely feel the kicks so how am I going to feel a heartbeat? And was she sticking her head up to her vagina in order to hear it internally?

I didnt see the original post but some organs in your stomach and body do have their own pulse... and sometimes that is what you can find/feel it is usually close to your own heartrate due to blood flow

theres a vein that runs down the middle of your stomach, sometimes if your laying flat you can see ur stomach jump with ur pulse. now, hearing your babies heartbeat in your head is something completely different. and to the song 1234? that is sucha slow song.. babies h/b is usually between 120-160 and theres no way it can get as slow as that songs beat....?
