I grew up in the area, but haven't lived there in 3 years.  Where is a great suburban bakery for a 1st birthday cake.  All I remember were the fancy ones from when I was wedding planning.

    I apologize if I'm super late responding.

    Rolf's Patisserie in Skokie.  The cakes are all natural and many are sold at Whole Foods.
