Hey! Thanks for asking! The first night was total hell. The second day, I wore her out with no nap, so she ended up STTN!!!! She didn't wake up once!! Last night was a little hard to put her down, but once she was, she was out.
The days have been a little hard. She'll ask for it, but I tell her that she gave them to the binky fairy and the fairy took them to little babies who need them. I also tell her that she's a big girl now, and big girls don't need them.
Oh, I'm so glad to hear it is going well!! Great job! I'm dreading taking DS's paci away, so your story is encouraging! Did the binky fairy bring your DD a little gift in return for her pacis?

We had a "Bye Bye Binky" party. She put all of her binkies in a baggie, and brought them outside for the recycle man to take them to the babies. Then we did presents and cake. I think that was what really helped give her closure to it. When she asks for one now, I remind her about the party and what we did. So, she remembers putting them in a bag and putting them outside. I think had I done it different, it would've been way less of a success.
Ah good idea! Thanks for sharing! I'm trying to piece together a strategy for my DS. I'm probably way over thinking it, but I just feel really guilty taking it away from him. He only has it for sleeping, but he does seem to really need it for falling asleep, so I think it will definitely be a transition for him. I keep putting it off for various reasons, but one of these days I'm gonna have to bite the bullet...... or have a college kid with a binky!!

So far, so good! She's really surprised me.
