Girl names - help add to our list!

DH and I are, slowly but surely, finding names we both like! For a girl, we would like to use the MN of Rebecca. Here are some of our FN top choices right now... any recommendations for others to add that seem to fit our style?? Thanks!

 (ALSO - any names that you think sound great with Rebecca would be helpful!!!)

Evelyn Rebecca (Evie)

Emery Rebecca 

Annabel Rebecca (Anna or Annie)

Madigan (family name) Rebecca (we like Maggie as a NN for this, not fans of Maddie, Madi, etc.)

emery rebecca doesn't sound right together. the ree-ree sound is too much. sorry, i really don't like madigan but annabelle is cute (not annabel).

Hi - I agree, I wouldn't like Emery Rebecca either if I pronounced it Ree-becca. Rebecca is my FN and I've always been called Ruh-becca. Thanks for your thoughts!

Thanks! We have toyed with that spelling as well... our latest preference was that Annabel focused on the Anna part more, whereas when we see Annabelle, the Belle stands out more. Thanks!

I like Evelyn and Annabel. I'm not a big fan of Emery or Madigan (sounds like mad again to me).

I love Annabel a lot. I taught an Emmarie, and one of the other children called her cemetary, I don't think they sound the same, they kind of rhyme? lol some kids are just strange.

Thanks! Mad again is a good point. If we used it, the plan was to use NN Maggie - not sure how often the full Madigan would be used, but that is a helpful observation for sure!

Thank you! I actually mentioned both Annelise and Amelia to DH before, but he wasn't a fan. Charlotte I have thought of... might have to grow on me.

I think traditionally, Emery is a boy's name, though when I hear it it sounds girlie to me. I know of two Emery's who are girls.

Evie is really cute!  So is Annie.... I'm debating that one for our baby (if she's a girl).  I also like Ainsley, Allie, Maggie, and Amelia.  I'm a big fan of just naming your kid the nickname you want them to have.  If you never want to call them the full name, don't name them that! 

Post back with what you decide on so we can all hear the final product!  So fun!

Thanks! DH and I both have formal and shortened names/NNs both, and we like having both, so that's probably behind it!

Thank you! Funny you mentioned Ellery. One of my close friends has a one-year-old named Ellerie. Definitely on the right track though!

BTW, I think Avery is a great name. Our dogs are named Ava and Grace, so it's a little close to Ava for us, and DH knows a few Averys, otherwise, it'd be high on our list!
