How many tantrums a day does your toddler have? [Poll]

You might want to be more specific about what age you mean by "toddler". IME there was a much different number with 1.5 to 2 to 2.5 to 3.

I voted 1-2 but it really depends on what we are (or aren't) doing.  If we stay inside all day there are bound to be multiple tantrums.  But he's a really good kid when we are out and about and especially at other people's houses (playdates) b/c there are new toys to play with.

It depends on the day.  Some days he won't have any and then some days he'll have ten or more.  I'd say it averages out to 1-2 a day.

I voted 1-2, but there are days when there are no tantrums at all, and days when there are 3-4. ?so I guess 1-2 is our average. ?I guess I should feel lucky! ?

I said 1-2, but would rather say 2-3... it just depends on the day. I only have him about 4hrs a day through the week since he's at daycare the other days. On the wknds, we usually get to fly by the seat of out pants so I'm not as stressed trying to get him out the door on time.

Most of our tantrums are in the morning when he doesn't want to go to school and I'm trying to lug him out the door along with all the other crap to put in the car...all while he's screaming and kicking. Oy. Lovely way to start a morning huh?

I said 1-2 but like the other posters we have a lot of days with none then some really bad days with 3-4 probably average is about 7 a week but most of those are on the same days.

To get her out of the house, I always load everything in the car first. It is much easier to kind of play along with her and takes way less time if my hands are empty.

Ditto this!  We could go days without one and then BAMM!  10 in one day.

My DD will go 5-6 out of 7 days without a tantrum.  On that 7th day, they might happen all day long and about every little thing.  It almost always is related to being too tired.  As long as I keep DD on a good schedule, she's a dream.  But if we have a day where things get off schedule (sleepwise), she can be a nightmare.

I voted, but it's really none to one.

She goes through phases where she'll have one per day (sometimes a really bad one), but she's usually pretty low-key.

She was having tantrums that lasted about 2 hours when she was about 27 months and I had to change-up my parenting style to fix that.
