OPK users?

I'm planning to use OPKs this cycle and am wondering...

1.  When do you test?  I know FMU is not good, so when do you  test? 

2.  Do you hold your pee for a certain amount of time before you test?  Do I need to worry it will be too dilute to detect the LH?

    I was told that:

    1.  the best time to test is between 1PM & 4PM. 

    2.  4 hours and don't eat or drink anything in that time frame.

    Try to follow the above but I've tested at 11AM and gotten a +OPK, I've also tested after peeing an hour before and gotten an +OPK.

    I teach school, and I have a break at around 11:00. I get rid of the FMU when I get up, and then hold it until prep time. It's normally about the 4 hours. I have a harder time holding it when I am not at work! I just try to get the OPK test done sometime after my FMU is gone. Good luck! Are you using the ones with the smiley faces? Those are so much easier than the line tests, in my opinion. Good luck!

    I've been told ass sorts of the things, when to test, when not to test..and then I decided to to what i wanted which is...

    I start testing about 3 days after A/F is done, (I have a short cycle) and then I will test 2-3 times a day until I get somthing positive. ?I usse the dipstrips, as I call them, its the Answer 20 day supply, its about $23.00 and when i do get the pos from that I will also use the cbe digital test to confirm it...

    This is why I got the clear blue easy fertility monitor, it WANTS fmu.

    I had such a hard time holding it at work then attempting to test in the public restroom, etc.

    Just a thought if OPK sticks aren't working out.

    And no, I have no stock in cbefm, I just love it that much!?

    I use FMU and then test again early evening if negative in the morning.  They say to hold it for at least 4 hours but I've also had positives waiting less. My RE actullay tells me to use FMU because I'm doing IUI and they need to get you in the next day when you have a positive.
