diarrhea with no other symptoms??

Is there some kind of bug going around with diarhea and not much else in the way of symptoms?  This is the second morning in a row my poor DS has woken up COVERED in diarrhea - him, the bed, everything.  I had to cut his shirt off with scissors and throw it away to avoid spreading that stuff all over his face.  So sad.  He seems okay otherwise, occasionally says his tummy hurts.  He is drinking water and eating a bit of toast.  I will call the Pedi when they open this AM, but wanted to check here and see if has any ideas.
