Re: interesting names

  • I've known a couple of Hills. Also a Ridge. And a Knoll.

It makes me wonder if I missed a trend where kids are named after geologic occurences...?

  • A lot of those are.... different.

The strangest I have are Tana, Calla, and Aurora (except the more ethnic names, but I don't count those as weird).  I guess I didn't run in very unique circles in good ol' WI.

I just looked and I do have a couple people I know as an adult that have more unusual names like Hannibal and Teal.

You have a friend from Virginia named McLean??  That's very odd considering there is a very well know town in Northern VA with that name.  How does your friend pronounce it?  Like the town?
  • I knew a Trek.... He got very tired of saying "no, not after Star Trek" LOL

  • All the girls names sound like boy names. Tripp is sometimes a nickname for a 3rd generation but never heard it as a name.

She's actually from north carolina, and yes she pronounces it like the town.
