3rd Trimester

Here is my nesting timeline and shopping list:

This week I will finish washing and folding all clothes and extra sheets, hang the wall letters than I painted today.

This weekend we will be at the beach, we have a damn wedding to go to that I forgot about.

The following weekend, going into my 36th week, I will have my final baby shower. I will spend that week washing and folding all of the clothes, blankets, etc that we receive.

The weekend going into my 37th week, we will install carseat bases and pack the bags.

And then I guess we wait.

We still need to buy: tubes for my breast bump (BRU said they don't sell the tubes!), bottle liners, another pack or two of nipples, a monitor (my grandma is gifting this), sheets for the co-sleeper, extra carseat base, sling/carrier, boppy (mom is gifting this), and then just stock up on supplies.

And I guess we're good.

Are you packing a diaper bag yet? Or will you wait? What are you putting in there?

Re: Here is my nesting timeline and shopping list:

  • sounds like a good plan!!! just dont buy anything else till after your shower.... id ont know if you registered places but dontput ur actual due date in put in a couple weeks before that way when they send saving coupons you will get them in time in case you need some last minute items... and save :)

yes the bag is packed... i printed off the one from here and just edited to what i thought was good....

They only thing i need is another changing table pad bc we have a "changing station" area downstairs also but its hard so i need something soft

  • I am using my diaper bag as the baby's hospital bag. I have her coming home outfit, booties, hat, mittens, blanket, baby book (for footprints), and pacifiers (just in case she absolutely has to have one). I will pack it with all the other necessities when we get home.
  • Hey SBLAY, how are you feeling?  I just sat down, and am happy to see you on here =)  Hope you're doing well.

I started to pack my bag, but just throwing random stuff in (I have a robe, slippers, and some bathroom stuff).

I am waiting for my shower to see what I still need to buy, but my grandfather got me our travel system this weekend, so I feel better knowing that now DH can install the car seat =)

You have a great list, and are very organized, I'm a little jealous!!!

  • I'm going to pack the diaper bag and bring it with me even though most everything that I put in it they'll also have at the hospital.  I'm going to put diapers, wipes, blankets, burpers...ummm...I'm sure theres more...
  • I slowly started throwing things into the diaper back.  Diapers, burp cloths, socks, a couple onesies, a sweater, hat, sunglasses, wipes, diaper trash bags, pacifier.  Things that have just popped into my head as I went along getting the nursery ready!!
  • You sound pretty organized :)

I'd wait a bit to pack his bag incase you wanted to change some items in it after your last shower.

Oooh, downstairs changing station....we need to do that!

  • Now I feel the urge to buy two of everything needed for feeding and changing time. One for upstairs and one for down. LOL.

    Oh Lord.

Pink- I feel good, thank you for asking. I'm going to take my medicine in about 30 minutes so I will get some good sleep and hopefully not puke my brains out in the morning.

i bought two of: powder, desatin (Sp?) purell, lotion, and then already had so much of diapers, wipes,  and stuff like that i just split it up, most is upstairs though. I put it all in a cute little basket and also put in some breast pads for leaking and then super pads for me bc the "changing station" is in the downstairs bathroom. its really weird... instead of making our bath downstairs a FULL bath with a shower and such they just put a looonng about 6 ft counter across the back wall and so that is perfect for it.... i dont know if i will buy an actual pad again or maybe just one of those little travel type ones that fold up then i can also use it if i need to go somewhere.... as for feeding stuff im keeping everything downstairs with that... even though i have thrown around the idea of getting one of those tiny fridges to keep upstairs and then getting a bottle warmer to then keep it all upstairs but i dont know yet

  • We have a mini fridge upstairs in his room, I'm going to keep waters, cokes, fruit type things in there for evening and nightime feedings so I don't have to drunkenly sleep walk downstairs to get something to eat/drink while I'm up feeding or whatever. The stairs in our house are freakishly steep.

IDK, sometimes I think I am thinking wayyyyy too much into this parenting thing.
