Some friends at church were talking about this today and they all seemed to think it was accurate. Apparantly, you put either a ring or a needle on a string, hold it either in front of your bell or over your hand (not sure if you can do it yourself or if someone else has to hold it). If the ring/needle moves in a circle, it's a girl. If back and forth, it's a boy. I keep dreaming that I'm having a boy but the needle keeps going in a circle no matter where I put it. I think I'll have dh hold the string and see if that matters.
Re: ring on a string gender prediction
I heard this one too. While I put absolutely no stock in old wives tales, I do think that they are fun to do and don't mind participating in any of them (except for the crazy drano one I heard about... yikes!).
Interestingly enough, every single one I've done has determined boy. It'll be interesting to find out if it's true. I have my big u/s scheduled for May 11th at about 18 weeks. Hopefully the baby cooperates and we'll find out if all those old wives tales were right!
Uh oh... LOL
aren't you finding out relatively soon anyways? I woudln't it will just make you all the more crazy about finding out the sex for reals.
Yeah, we're finding out next Tuesday. Technically, we could have found out earlier, but my doctor will only do appointments every 5 weeks (early in pregnancy) so she wouldn't let me return until almost 21 weeks. We can't wait to find out!
