Munire Newport crib

After much searching, we are planning on buying the Munire Newport crib today. ?It gets great reviews in Baby Bargains and I really like it in person. ?Anyone know of any cons to this crib that I should keep in mind before making the big purchase?

    we're going with munire as well (i believe the madison) and i have done a lot of research and haven't found any serious cons to munire. ?they did have some recalls a year ago, but according to baby bargains, it was an issue that was related to lead paint and has been completely resolved. ?BB gives them an A. ?did you find any good deals for yours?

    also, i see you have a cubs avatar -- if you are in the chicago area, you should check out the crib & bed outlet in lombard (just google for details). ?they have some AMAZING deals.

    We went with Munire :)

    My understanding about the recall wasn't even that the Munire product had lead paint, but it was shipped with a product that had lead paint, so they recalled their black Essex cribs last year.

    I could be wrong, but I believe that's what happened...?
