High-Risk Pregnancy

Polyhydraminos

We had a f/u to check on our boys' fluid levels.  Baby A's fluid measured 4 cm and Baby B's was 9 cm.  The peri and OB said both were within the normal range, but of course my mommy brain kicked in and I can't help but be slightly concerned.

Anyone else dx with polyhydraminos?  How big was the fluid discrepency?

They're going to start checking fluid levels once a week now to make sure both babies are okay.  So far they're both growing fine and moving like crazy, which is good.

Thanks!

Re: Polyhydraminos

  • With DS I have too much AF. I was told anything between 5 - 25cm is considered normal. DS is doing great.

My cousin just had a baby and her levels were low, they did tell her to drink alot of water and everything turned out okay.

Good luck and it sound as though they are on top of thing, I wish you the best.

  • i wish they had this board when i was pregnant! i had polyhydamnios and everything turned out fine. my ob said 95% of the time there is no reason for the extra fluid, it's just there. they can't explain it and don't know why it happens, it just does. i was measuring 52 weeks pregnant and was HUGE, luckily they did nst's and u/s's every week to make sure thin's were going well! i'm sure everything will turn out fine and good luck! pm me if you have any questions!
