Acting like they don't know things in public

Whenever DS & I are out and about, be it the groc store or the doctors, when I ask him things like 'gimme a kiss' or 'can you clap?' or 'where's your belly?'.. (stuff he does ALL day long at home) he always stares at me blankly or just ignores me. I know he takes a while to warm up to new environments, but is this ALL kiddos or just my little toot?!?!

  • I know I know this drives me crazy you feel like okay i'am not lying her my kid does know where her belly is, can wave hello!! That's her big thing she will wave like crazy to people walking outside the tv, but tell her to wave to the lady at the grocery store and we will sit there all day waiting for a wave!! LOL!!!

    I think it's just a faze ??

  • Most things he pretends not to know. However, saying "bye-BYE" in his loudest voice is something that he'll do everywhere. Every single time a waitress leaves the table, for example, she'll get at least two bye-byes. It's hilarious.

Nope.  DD has about 15-word vocab.  Ask her to say anything in public and it's "Da da da da da..."  The only thing she says on command is "Hi" (when she feels like it) and Bye bye.  Oh, did I mention she likes to pretend she can't walk?  She can take at least 10 steps.

  • DS does it and it drives me nutty or he does it immediately after someone is out of sight.  Maybe I shouldn't brag about it so much, LOL.
