Anyone get a false singleton u/s?

HI there,

Just wanted to see if anyone received a false single baby result from their u/s and then found out that there were twins or more? We just went in for a 7 week u/s and supposedly only have 1 but I have a sneaking suspiscion that there are 2 in there.... (family hx and symptoms) Our next u/s is 12 weeks and we should know for sure then...

Anyone else have this happen? And if so how far along were you when you were told only 1 and then 2 (or more)?

6 weeks 2 days only one baby,  just after 11 weeks 2 babies.

I've only posted a few times, but yes...that's what happened to us.  At 8 weeks we only saw one baby on the u/s.  When we went in for our big u/s at 19.6 weeks, surprise - there were 2!

wow I dont really think I am the only one this happened to.  Must be a slow day on the board.

That was us!  One baby at 8 weeks two at 20 weeks!  SHOCK OF A LIFETIME!

It happened to us too - one baby at 6 weeks, 2 at 9 weeks.

At 8 wks the u/s said one.  At 9wks there were two.  No twins on either side of the family, no IVF, totally spontaneous.
