For me it's not a trust issue. My/husbands morals aside, it's just not appropriate for a married man with kids to be out looking at naked women.

I think what is appropriate is totally subjective.

You're right. I view it as sleazy and disrespectful. Luckily my DH is on the same page.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!! But seriously, I agree! If everyone else there has money to spare, maybe the strippers will ignore your DH? I still wouldn't let him go, but that's a comforting thought...

  • Back in the day, I was friends with some girls that stripped at a "nicer" strip club.  Their boss was a hardass and unless the girls wanted to lose their job, there was no hanky panky in his club - but that's not a given in every situation.

More than likely, the strippers will be MUCH more interested in the Seahawks players that they can put a name and face to.  Another more than likely scenario, the strippers already know most of the team.  ;)  They naturally gravitate towards those that are obviously going to give them the most money ...

I wouldn't have an issue with it, but I also know that my husband would never do anything for me to question his actions.  To each their own, right?

lol! Yea...that mad eme chuckle too!

And on a serious note thats the other thing. We don't really have money for him to be going to strip clubs right now. Especially going to strip clubs trying to hang with a bunch of ballers.

I should say he can go but he can only take $20 in ones. See how long that'll last him. ha!

  • DH knew who it was, lol (although he said it was between him and Obomanu, who also has been in the NFL for 3 years, from Alabama). He's a freak of nature. He knows those statistics about nearly every damn player in the NFL. I love my husband :O)

I would not be afraid to say no because it's not welcome in our marriage. He already knows this. I hope H doesn't go!?

  • Just told DH about this over the phone and he actually laughed saying, "yeah, there is no way in hell that anything good is going to come from that.  BEST case scenario, her husband is fat, squatty, and has one arm then maybe he will be in the clear from the strippers.  Then he is just a man looking at naked women wishing he could be a part of the fun... hahahaha.  Yeah, no."

FWIW, DH works in sports and gets in the inside scoop of what goes down with the players and all their shinaigans... married or not.  You don't even want to know the stories we have heard.

Again-- it's a respect thing, not a "controlling wife"/trust issue.

You guys (KG and Janimal) are both right. And I do trust him, but in the back of my mind bad bad things are happening. Like I said if it were under normal circumstances I could totally deal.

BUT, VIP status and going with a group of NFL players? ugh. I just don't know about that.

this is the problem.  it's spells trouble.  too many NFL players & strippers in the news getting in trouble...  in clubs, on boats, it happens all the time.

Unfortunately this isn't true.  You would be SHOCKED to see the lengths groupies will go through to get to pro sports players.  Let's face it, athletes have the deepest pockets out there and girls will start at the bottom of the entourage and work their way up the line to get to the man with the moolah.  I've seen it in action and it's not pretty.

ha! I wish! One thing I do have going for me is that not even the world's dumbest stripper would mistake him for a football player. The man is like 150 lbs soaking wet. He'll look even smaller surrounded by giant NFL players.

    Folan,

I appreciate you sharing all this 1st hand knowledge. But its not making me feel any better.

    Crying

ugh! especially with how I look and feel lately. Not to mention the fact that I don't ever feel like putting out.

I don't mean to freak you out.  So sorry.  You know what you want to say to your DH, so just do it.  You have EVERY leg to stand on with your feelings.  Truth be told, he will be disappointed, but will totally understand where you are coming from (even if he doesn't admit it).  Have the talk.  It dosen't need to be a fight, but you should really let him know how you feel and why.
