 doing a "ladybug" themed 1st birthday...any creative decoration or food ideas to share?

You could definately do a ladybug shaped cake or cupcakes with sugar ladybugs on them.  Bowls of black and red m&ms.

Do you have a hobby lobby near by? Their spring stuff has lots of lady bugs in it, but I am not sure how much longer they will keep it up. They have lady bug picture holders, candle holders, and much more. Thought I would share.

I like the idea of a lady bug shaped cakes, or lady bug cupcakes. You can even have lady bug themed invited!

We're doing a ladybug theme too! I've given up trying to actually FIND ladybug stuff *in stores* locally, none of the party places here seem to carry anything - drives me nuts. I'm doing red/black/white balloons, red table cloth w/ black plates and cups, she has a little black/red polkadotted dress, and I'm making these cupcakes:
