Ultrasound scene on Marley & Me

Last night I went to my friend's house for a little girl's night - dinner, drinks and a movie.  One of the girls brought the movie Marley & Me for us to watch- have any of you girls seen this yet?  Well, Jennifer Aniston gets pregnant and when they go for her 10 week ultrasound, they can't find a heartbeat and she loses the baby.  I was trying to hold back the tears but i couldn't, they just started streaming down my face - then I turned to my friends and they were both in tears and started saying how sorry they were for picking this movie for us to watch and they had no idea. It was awful to watch since it was pretty much exactly how our u/s appt went, but in a weird way, it was comforting... I know it's just a movie, but it made me feel less alone going through this.....and also a bit more hopeful for the future, because as you could guess, Jennifer Aniston goes on to have 3 healthy kids....I can only hope we have a storybook ending like that someday :-)

You will get your story book ending soon.  I knew it had that scene in it when I watched the movie, and still cried my eyes out.

Some day you will get a happy ending.  I would have broke down too. I have not seen that show yet!

The exact same thing happened to me. I knew that she had a m/c in the movie, but when they showed the u/s scene I definitely cried through the whole thing, it definitely brought back our whole experience. But like you, it did make me feel hopeful that she was able to have 3 kids afterwards!

I cried too and I knew it was coming.  I felt like I was sitting in the u/s room all over again.

That was my story w/ m/c #1 as well.  I have yet to see the movie though.  I did concieve the pretty little one in my siggy just months afterwards though.  Everything happens for a reason and God has a plan (I just wish I knew WTF he was thinking!).

I cried too and I knew it was coming.  I cried during half of the movie though and was an absolute mess trying to read the book.

I read the book in the fall and remember crying through that chapter.  We just watched the movie Sunday night and so I knew that scene was in there and thought I'd be ok but I bawled when that scene played.  I smiled when I saw Marley go up to Jennifer Aniston's character when they get home and she's sitting on the couch.  Even the dog knew something was wrong and Marley comforted her but some humans can't seem to be comforting to us through something like a m/c!  While it's a tough scene, it was kind of nice to see that we aren't alone!  Hope we all get our happy ending very soon!

Oh my god I cried. And cried and cried some more. And Marley's response? Made me cry some more. It was hard for me getting through the book as it was a lot closer to the m/c when I read it.

I saw that movie when I thought I was still pregnant but I still cried.  And when I found out I MCed, I remember just leaning over and crying like she did at that part because I couldn't do anything else...
