Sooosie!

Just wanted to check in and see how you're managing things with two now that you're back at work. How is Max sleeping at night? If he doesn't sleep well, how do you deal at work??

I'm probably going back after my three-month leave as well, and am a little worried how I'm going to do my job if I can barely function.

And how is Ian doing at DC??

  • Hi!  It totally feels like forever since I have posted.  I'm getting ready to go to Stevens Point for Trivia this weekend - that ought to be fun w/two little kids!  Ha!

Anyway, Max is actually sleeping very well!  He's been doing kind of a 8:30pm-6 or 7am most nights as of the past few weeks - thank GOD.  This week he had a couple wakeups at 3-5am, but DH wakes up with him for those.  Sadly, though, Ian was having a rough week!  Teething is keeping him up I think, and maybe even some bad dreams from the daycare thing.  But I will say that the past 2 nights have been waaaaaay better so I'm hoping the tooth/teeth popped through.

And the teachers at DC say he's doing much better.  He goes W-F full days and this was his 2nd week.  He still cries at dropoff though today I had to take him (usually DH does) and he really wasn't bad at all!  I think given a little more time he'll be just fine.  :)

How are you feeling?  Holy sh*t you are almost a mom of 2 also!!

  • Oh!  And on those nights lately where either one or both wake up at night...I drink a large coffee when I get to work.  It's crazy, but somehow I haven't felt like dying at work yet, even after multiple wakeups this one night.

  • OK that gives me some hope!! Nora was sleeping pretty well by three months, but you just never know. Every baby is so different!!

Glad to hear Ian is doing well at DC. It may take a little more time before he doesn't cry when you drop him off since he's never done it before, but it will happen. I hope his teeth have popped through and he continues to sleep better for you.

I am doing OK. Last day of work is tomorrow and I am counting down the hours until Monday morning!! SO over being hugely pg. :)?

  • Oh I know.  I was so scared we'd get a horrid sleeper this time around since Ian STTN from 8 weeks on, pretty consistently.  Of course we still have odd days, but overall Max is great too.

And I hear ya on the being over the PG!  With both kids I worked the day before I gave birth.  Of course with Max I knew when it was happening but still - huge and peeing every 20 minutes was no fun!  I was just glad my water didn't break at work with Ian!
