my dd is getting very clingy lately. I wonder if she knows /senses that my attention will have to be shared shortly? She wants to be with me at all times. Not that I mind, I will take all the loving I can get.
I have been wondering the same thing! My dd has been much more clingy lately and has been acting out a bit too. My guess is that it is related to the new baby.
mine also has been acting out too, at daycare today she was in trouble because she made her friend fall off the seesaw She is usually always very good.
I think I'm the one that has gotten clingy to her. I think I'm realizing that in a few weeks it will no longer just be the two of us (well DH too but you KWIM). I feel like at times I'm trying to be too close to her or doing too much with her which is probably NOT good because she needs to get used to being more independent. I feel at times like she give me these looks like, "back off mom I can do it myself". Haha
DD didn't but she was so young, she really doesn't know anything different. I think DS will get very clingy. I watch a 5 month old during the week and Elijah hates when I have to hold him or feed him.

Yes, he definitely did. He could totally sense that things were about to change. It lasted until the baby came and few weeks after. He is pretty much back to his old self now and loves his baby sister.
Good luck!

DD got very clingy my last week of being pg. Now, she doesn't want anything to do with me because all of her attention is on her baby sister. She's crazy about her!! I loved her clingy side, especially during that last week!
Re: Did your child get clingy before #2 arrived
the wives tale is that if your dc gets clingy, then you are having a girl
do you know what you are having?
Yes!! and it makes having any alone time VERY difficult.
