Finger food ideas

We have doing great with finger foods and I'm looking for some other ideas. We are doing great with fruits and veggies, cherrios and puffs. They love bananas. We have tried pasta and they did well with that. So what else?

Re: Finger food ideas

  • Avocado, sweet potatoes,  Spaghetti-O's, Mac n cheese, any soft fruits and veggies, Hmm let me try to think of some more. My kids have full sets of teeth, so they eat crunchier/harder type foods too...Have you tried the Gerber meals? My kids loved those.

  • We do pasta (rotini or elbow - no spaghetti!  LOL) with sauces, marinara, alfredo, cream of mushroom, etc. and they love them.  Fish sticks, sweet potato fried, scramled eggs, french toast, pancakes, ground beef and turkey, cheese, toast with butter or polaner all fruit, stuffing, ummmm, I can't think of naything else besides fruits and veggies.  Have you tried the new Jumbo Krispies?  The kids love them, and Yogurt Burst Cherrios too.

    HTH!

  • everything pp said is great.  Also next time you go into the grocery store check out the health food section.  In their snack section they have these things called VEGGIE STIX.  My boys love them

  • A favorite around here is cheese toast; melted cheese on bread.  I just pinch off pieces and they love it.  I also give them pieces of waffles and cinnamon bread.  Shredded cheese is good and saltine crackers.  We just started little pieces of canned tomatoes and pieces of a baked potato and they did well.
