Mine is 25/month and then includes tanning, which I should just cancel because I never do it anymore.
It does not include daycare, even though when I do take her, they don't charge me? They don't have anything special like a pool. There is spinning and some other classes. I go to Golds because we don't have many options here.
I have had my membership for 6+yrs and would never change it.
Free. Dh's work pays gym memberships for immediate family, entry fees for marathons/races/etc. err, well, they did anyway, they may have cut that out w/the layoffs. hmmm.
They have employee owned healthcare so they promo everyone being healthy, provide fruit daily, have biggest loser contests, help pay to quit smoking if need be...
I've done local and a chain. I suck. Unless I have a friend or three to go with and kick my ass, I stop going. :-(
My gym membership is $65/month and that includes use of the gym, some classes, the outdoor pool, jacuzzi, saunas etc (it's a swim and tennis club versus just a straight up gym). I also have to pay $11.00/hour for both kids to be in the gym daycare so that's really what adds up.
I go Monday-Thursday..I used to go Friday but now I do the trail or some other exercise on Friday instead. During the summer I take the kids to the pool almost every day. The kids also take swim lessons there and Natalie has taken tennis and soccer lessons there too.
It's not a chain
I adore my gym membership and cannot imagine life without it. It's totally part of my daily life and I look forward to going there.
Well, it's good and bad. They are so nice that they are currently working at a loss every day because they don't want to lay off any full time help. They are working 32 hour weeks but paying them for 40 hours - "until business picks up". Scares me. 'cause what if it doesn't???
Our HOA fee is $65/month. That includes a rather large gym with childcare ($3/hour), 6 pools, many parks, and all the landscaping, etc. We don't have a choice in paying it, but I think it's a great deal and we use it all the time.

I cancelled mine, but was paying $88 a month for DH and I (would've been more to add DD to the childcare). Ours is a chain in California (california family fitness) and had pools (lap pool, free pool and kids pool/water play area) and was a really nice gym.
I just couldn't afford to keep the membership. With summer coming up, I wish I could join again, I just can't justify the cost. It would be $59 for just me (without DH on the plan), but I feel like that is even too much. especially because I probably would only go 1-2 times a week.
